One of the aspects of this session that I love most, besides how incredibly GORGEOUS it is, is its unapologetic honesty. Sarah has scars on her body from an accident years ago. Those scars make a few appearances in this set of photos.
Some people might see those scars as imperfections and reason for photoshop, but I LOVE them. And Sarah is no longer self-conscious of them. They're a reminder for her, and a part of her story that she doesn't hide or deny.
There's something so powerful about embracing and honoring your story and telling it proudly. Scars don't define us, but they are a part of the tapestry of our lives, and they help us develop into the complex and incredible women that we are.
I hope this set sparks a fire for you, I know they set my heart alight!!
This set of images was shot at La Femme workshop, hosted by the team at the Boudoir Collective.
