Ok, I'm just going to admit it. I stopped sharing my monthly goals because I straight up forgot. Oops!
But when I finally remembered about my blog and my monthly goals series, I couldn't bring myself to write another post...
I took a look at my prior posts and realized something that bothered me. Those posts I was calling my "monthly goals" were nothing more than an online space for humble bragging with a cute little graphic.
I would list out all the cool and exciting things I'd accomplished the previous month, and go on to state all the fun adventures I'd be going on in the upcoming month. I don't think a SINGLE post actually had an actionable and attainable goal in it!
I am no longer sharing monthly goals because I was never good at setting them! Even if one of those posts did contain a decent goal, I rarely met it.
Gone are the days where I establish my goals for the month and forget about them until I look back a realize I accomplished nothing. Setting daily goals has been a game-changer, and I love being able to finally cross things off my to-do list!
This is all even more relevant as it is New Year's resolution time. I may share a post later on with some of my resolutions, but you better believe they are SMART goals.
A great tip I heard recently was to prioritize just 3 of your resolutions: one thing you want to START doing, one thing you want to STOP doing, and one thing you want to CONTINUE to do. I absolutely love this idea, and that is how my goals for the new year will be laid out.
What are some of the ways you set (and meet) important goals? What advice do you have for someone who struggles with goal-setting?
hugs and high fives,
Welcome to the blog!
