Brace yourself, because there are a lot of black & white photos in here. It's almost like I'm trying to pull an Alejandro and borrowing his style! And usually, I'm not one to take or share a lot of black & white photos.
But I always like to challenge myself when editing photos I take while traveling. While I love my editing style and feel like it reflects me & my business well, I LOVE experimenting with editing. I don't like to experiment much on my client work, however, because I know my clients come to for my particular shooting & editing style.
Personal work, however, is fair game! And it's so fun and liberating to try new techniques and try to see things with a different eye and through a different lens.
Literally! Alejandro let me borrow his Olympus, so on top of playing around with editing, I was also shooting with new-to-me equipment!
Add onto that the fact that it was practically a BLIZZARD and we spent most of our time trudging through the snow and trying not to lose feeling in our toes, you've got a pretty memorable trip!
travel whenever you have the opportunity. You don't have to go far, and you don't have to go for long. It doesn't have to be expensive or complicated. Just go out and see new things. Experience new places. Challenge yourself to see the world in different ways. There's so much to see and learn if you're open to new experiences and new perspectives.
hugs and high fives,
Welcome to the blog!
